BELP was originally formed in 2008 as a result of a merger between the Bucks Economic Partnership and the Bucks Lifelong Learning Partnership.

The team consists of 11 members of staff including Chief Executive, Graham Grover and Assistant Chief Executive Pat Ward.

BELP works in a variety of ways to achieve these objectives:

  • commissioning reseach into the economy of the county, for example, by investigating the amount of land available for commercial activity.
  • commenting upon major planning proposals which will shape the economic future of the area.
  • supporting initatives which promote business development.
  • working in partnership with other agencies to promote investment in infrastucture.
  • working with a wide range of both public and private sector training providers, FE/HE colleges and universities to ensure a cohesive and varied curriculum is available to all.
